On the one hand, this is just a potato masher, so it's hard to get all that enthused about it. But, on the other hand, having suffered with several below par mashers over the years, it is great to be able to say that I've finally found an outstanding masher!
This is the first time I've used one that uses a disk with holes rather than the ones with the bent wires. Night and day difference in speed and no more lumps! And, unlike using an electric beater, this produces a light texture instead of a gluey consistency as you can get with an mixer.
Build quality is excellent - feels like it should cost a lot more than it does. It's not often that I find that to be true nowadays. Love the handle - it's the same material Anolon uses for their knives, and is comfortable and non-slip. (By the way, I also have their knives and find them to be excellent, especially considering the price).
