I already had 5-Qt and 12-Qt Anolon pots in this line from several years ago, and they've been great, although sometimes one was too small and the other too large for my meals, so I got this size. I am delighted that they now have insulated handles that no longer require a potholder for the heat, and it's just the right size for most of my applications. Got to love that Anolon!

The 8-quart stockpot, made of even heating hard-anodized aluminum, is great for the slow simmering of soups or beans. Nonstick interior means cooked on foods clean off easily. The tempered glass lid lets you monitor cooking without lifting the lid.In a well-equipped kitchen, the cupboard must contain at least one large stockpot of quality. The stockpot's myriad of applications varies from boiling potatoes to poaching chicken breasts to simmering a zesty chili. For blanching, steaming, stewing tasks, Anolon offers this 8-quart covered stockpot from its Anolon Advanced cookware line.
The stockpot's nonreactive hard-anodized aluminum construction enables premium heat conductance and even distribution while resisting dents, rust, and corrosion. DuPont's Autograph 2 nonstick treatment lines the stockpot interior for cooking and cleaning ease. The chef carries the stockpot to and from the stovetop by two loop handles, riveted securely to the pot's sides. The 18/10 stainless-steel handles benefit from ergonomic comfort from silicone rubber covering. A clear tempered glass lid enables the chef to monitor cooking progress without releasing any hot air.
